"I have a question about my bill."
Our billing staff gave these hints to help them serve you better and faster:
  • Have your insurance card(s) in front of you when you call – that way they can verify that we have your complete and correct information.
  • Have your bill/statement in front of you when you call.
  • If leaving a message – state your name clearly, spelling it out is always appreciated, and don’t forget to leave them a phone number where you can be reached.
  • Medicare does not pay for routine physicals.
  • If you have received a request for more information from your insurance company – fill it out and send it back ASAP. This frequently holds up payment on your services as they will not process your claim until they have received the requested information from you.

"Who do I contact if I need to refill my prescription?"

You should always call your pharmacy about a week before your medications run out. Medications are refilled for a certain length of time by your medical provider, depending on the type of medication. For some medications the provider will order a years worth of refills, some a month or less, depending on the medication. Your pharmacist will have this information and may be able to refill your prescription without contacting your medical provider.

For certain medications you will be required to have lab work done prior to getting a refill. And for some medications your provider will ask you to come in for a visit prior to authorizing a refill. If either of these are the case, your pharmacist or your provider will be in contact with you. You should not call your clinic or your provider to get a refill. It is actually more efficient and quicker if you call your pharmacy.
