Arlington, August 25, 2008 - The Ice Cream Social sponsored by the Sibley Medical Center Foundation, Sibley Medical Center Auxiliary and the Sibley Medical Center Employees surpassed expected attendance numbers last Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Memorial Park in Arlington, MN.

Sibley Medical Foundation President, Deb Brinkman, states, “We invited everyone from Sibley County to attend this fun, community ice cream social. We expected approximately 300 people and had almost 500 people attend the fundraiser. Our area businesses, Sibley Medical Center Auxiliary and Sibley Medical Center employees were very supportive with donations to ensure the success of this event. It is a great testament to our community to see such a significant turn-out.” Proceeds from the ice cream social will go to Sibley Medical Foundation’s Adopt-A-Room project to update patient rooms at Sibley Medical Center with new equipment and décor.
