Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center Board of Directors member earns hospital trustee certification

SchultzRidgeview Sibley Medical Center Board of Directors member Denny Schultz, Arlington, recently earned certification through the Minnesota Hospital Association’s trustee certification program. He was one of 18 hospital trustees from across Minnesota to be recognized in this program at the MHA January Trustee Conference held in Brooklyn Park, Minn.

The comprehensive certification process prepares hospital trustees to effectively meet the growing demands of serving on a hospital board and to be strong health care and community leaders. By participating in MHA’s voluntary certification program, Schultz received training about current health care trends; governance best practices; ethics; government regulations; patient safety; and quality. Participants must complete 35 hours of coursework, making Minnesota’s hospital certification initiative the most comprehensive in the nation.

Schultz has served on the Ridgeview Sibley Board of Directors since 2008. He is a semi-retired farmer and has served on number of local boards through the years. Most recently, Schultz has worked in economic development roles for the City of Arlington and Sibley County.
