Stress Testing is an important diagnostic tool used for determining whether or not the heart is receiving enough blood and detecting the presence of coronary artery disease. There are several different types of stress test. We currently offer the following types of stress testing on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Exercise Stress Testing: The most widely used of cardiac stress tests. The patient exercises on a treadmill to show how the blood flow to the heart looks during exercise.
Pharmacologic Stress Testing: Uses medication (Adenosine) to make the heart act as it would during exercise. This is indicated for patients who cannot undergo exercise stress testing.
